Quite a few of us from the FFTA turned out at this year’s BFTA Euro’s competition held at Wold Farm. I had a good walk of the course due to being located next to the Woodland walk we are used too. A few targets had to be changed on the lake side but nothing major. I started on lane 2 with Craig Corbett so I knew it was going to be an enjoyable day. After last years event with little to no wind we had certainly got it today. Right to left over the lake and having to come out of kill on most. After that we entered the open field for one lane for the infamous Crowzilla. Mmm so what do we do here. Looking at the plate there was not many hits but misses all over. Pulled the line and my choice of straight down the middle worked a treat. On to the woodland part which I thought was really well set up. Not much wind in here on the Saturday until the last few lanes which got you thinking. Day 1 all in all a good day with a 43/50 hitting 9/10 of my standing shots.

Day 2, Started of well with starting proceedings and marshalling inn the wood for an hour. Wind I thought was a little stronger today out there. A little pep talk to James Kay about his standers and looks like it paid off him. On to my shooting. Well, hit-miss it was for the first 5 lanes and now I’m ready to give in . Head was not there today but Eggie kept me there and I did pull it back to get a 40/50 but that was not enough to keep up there. A really good weekend and nice to see so many new faces entering and putting in some very respectable scores.
